Searching from Address Bar Problems

When I search from the Address Bar in IE6.0 (W98 PC) IE
takes me to a site xenrode...... apparently some kind of
search engine (?) and then the pop=ups start.

How do I reset my IE to use another search engine - the
previous MS search or something like google?

Are there settings in my regeditor that have
been "hijacked"?
