I need to monitor a website who's content changes every day. The
feature I really need is to be able to save the page automatically
since I won't be able to check the site every day. Does such a thing
exist?

This message is a keeper; Thanks. If I understand well the only program
that saves the news - this is what the poster demanded - is WatchThatPage.

Yes it seems to do the job, only thing I wish is that it would also
save images. Oh well, can't have everything!

There is an old freeware version of Check&Get available:
Check&Get v1.14 (freeware)
http://activeurls.com/en/download.php
(bottom of page)

The Shareware vers. --very $$$$-- will do what you specify, but don't
know if the freeware vers does this. Also, the freeware vers is
unsupported and I think a bit old.

Actually, TrackEngine (www.trackengine.com) does that too. But it's free only
for the first 5 pages.

Hello,

I'm using WebMon for a while and after checking the links
from this post it seems, that it is right for my needs, but
InternetOwl would fit as well. I need to check on specific
page contents (not the whole page or just time stamp) and
both allow to check between two html snippets found in the
page to check.

I'm asking for experiences anyone had in comparing this (and
maybe more) apps. Something more visual (in defining the
content and showing the updated stuff) would be cool. And
a bit more hierarchic list of pages, not just a list.

Sitespector was cool for that, but not able to define in
detail. Anyway, their site is down now... Their support
in forum stopped month ago.

Regards,
Thorsten
