Hi,
I accidentally nuked a 300GB drive last night by deleting everything
from the root directory down. (doh!) I imagine most of the data is
recoverable as it is the second drive in my PC and I have not written
anything to it since. However all of the recovery programs I have
tried require you to restore the erased files to a different
partition, this is a bit of a problem because the other drive in the
system is only 40GB. Does anyone know of any recovery software that
can rebuild /restore the original directory structure "in-situ" so I
don't have to use a secondary drive? The filesystem type is NTFS.
Thanks for any advice
