am trying to sort a huge table and I get the
message "cannot sort a table containing merged cells".
how can i find the merged cells? - I've tried copying it
to xcel and trying there too, but I get the same error
message. thanks

Hi Carol,

"merged cells" would be where you've selected two or more
cells and made them into a single cell. Visually, you'd see
that a cell spans two or more rows (and/or columns).

If you're quite certain you don't have any of these, the
table structure might be damaged. Try seelcting the table
and doing Table/Convert to text. Then do Table/Convert to
table. (However, since Excel thinks there are merged cells,
there probably are...)
