While this does nothing to solve the problem - I've seen this problem several
times in the recent past. A friend has remarked that it has to do with
registered file types - but somehow I doubt this.
I'm currently working this issue with a person at another tech support
forum. So far the options have been typically - use SFC.EXE /SCANNOW - or
perform a repair install. No results on either of these yet.
