Hi,

Can any guide me on how to build / develop a search
functionality for access 2002 database as we do use search
for web sites. we want to enter any data in the search
text box and it should search all the records and all the
fields and pull the records based on the data entered in
the search text box.

please advise.

Thank you very much in advance.

Depending how complex your search needs to be, if you just want to do a simple TEXT search, you can use the Find Record macro (this can be done easily from the add command box wizard) and it will throw up a search box for the user to enter in the search data
For more complex searches make a form in tabular format off of a query. The query will filter out the data you are looking for, and the tabular format of the form will let you see many records at once. There is pretty good info on writing queries on the Microsoft site, I just got done looking something up myself..
Hope that helps
