I am running XP Pro and Office 2007 Beta. I have suddenly started getting an
error message every minute.
"SearchIndexer.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are
sorry for the inconvenience. "

The options available are "Debug", "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send". I
have tried all 3 but the message continues to pop up again within a minute.

What dan I do about this. The system and all the apps appear to be
functioning normally but the only way I can use the system is to move the
message box to the side of the screen. It always stays on top of whatever I
am doing. I am, of course, concerned that I have an underlying problem that
I'm not seeing yet.

I've run a Norton scan and it shows no problems.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using Vista, ask in a Vista support group.

I am not using Vista -but I'm not really sure what it is. I'm using XP Pro
with SP2 and Office 2007 Beta.

"searchindexer.exe" is a Vista program. It MAY come with Office 2007, but
it's certainly not an XP issue.

One fixe (via Google "searchindexer.exe") is:

"To solve the searchindexer crash you must go to regional settings (from
control panel) then select administrative and choose the non-Unicode
language to be english-united states. all others will give you a crash."
