There is a scrolling searchbar on the bottom of my screen. This is very annoying. Is there anyway to remove this?
 
Some great free tools that will help you to get rid of junk like this. Spybot Search & Destroy, SpywareBlaster,HijackThis, BHODemon, and SpywareGaurd. Do a search for these and get the closest downloads to you. You have Spyware\Adware on your machine and the above tools will help you rid yourself of these. Welcome to XP :~)

Toolbar cop is another downloadable free utility
It got rid of my irritating isearch toolbar problem
