Search results coloring in HTML page

Part of my site has a search capability that I'd like to enhance. What I'd
like to do is have a 'filter' of some kind that would take the search results
page and would highlight the found words, and that would end up being the page
rendered to the user.

Is there something out there that will do this for me?
