Search Problem

I have XP Home SP2 and if I right-click on a drive/folder and select search,
it opens a window but not the search window that I have been used to. I tried
to paste a sample of the window but apparently you can't add attachements or
paste.

A good option for posting images is to upload your images to imageshack and
post the links.

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 /i shell32

Unless a reboot is necessary after a successful registering, this doesn't do
the trick for me. I still get the same problem.

Open a command line window and type; "sfc /scannow" and insert the Windows
XP CD when the program ask for it, to restore missing files in the search
application. If that doesn't work, you may need to update the Windows
Search Application... the latest, version4 doesn't appear to have
improvement, so you may want to install another version... do a google
search for version 2 or 3.

Hi,

Open Search. On the top menu bar of the Window, choose View/Explorer Bar
and make sure Search is chosen.
