Search opens when I double click a drive

Search started opening when I double clicked any folder
after I downloaded a patch at Windows Update, which may
be only a coincidence. I did a full format and restore
and now it only happens when I double click any drive. I
updated at Windows Update again, for the security, not
because I am a sucker for punishment. Anyone know about
this? Thanks in advance, Greg.

If you are clicking on a folder and search companion or a command prompt
window opens up, you can fix this by typing the following in the Run box:
REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL
