I've bee running the 2007 Beta2 TR for about a week now. As of today when I
use the search function it only searches emails I've recieved in the last few
days.

Doing a search for a known subject for an email from 6 months ago, or a
general search for a Senders Name only finds recent emails.

How can I fix this? Is there a way to force Outlook to re-cataloge all my
messages?
My PST file is about 700MB.

are they all in the same pst? if not, did you enable the other pst for
search? tools, instant search, search options.

Yes they are in the same PST.
Does Outlook use the same indexing service as Vista? Is there anyway to
manually do an update?

Vista RC2 (5744)
Unchecking the one Personal Folders item in the Search Option panel allowed
me to do searched the old way and I was able to search all files but its
awefully slow...

It could be due to RC2. B2TR is supposed to work with RC1, and so far no
one has reported any issues with RC2. It is a possibility though...

Oh wow, Outlook is having a meltdown.
Several times today Outlook seemed to be having a bit of a spasm. The
Outlook notification icon was blinking between normal and send/receive
constantly for about 20 minutes. If I left it alone it would eventually calm
down and Outlook would start responding properly. Just a few minutes ago I
manually did a full send/receive while this spastic activity was happening
and had been happening for at least 20 minutes. When I did the send/receive
it wouldn't stop repeating itself. Before I manually closed Outlook it was
up to 124 of 616 tasks...

Also another problem is that I keep getting a pop-up telling me that the
certificate of one of my mail servers can't be verified. Is there any way to
permanently accept the cert?
And I'm not sure if its related but sometimes outgoing email for that
account gets stuck in the Outbox. I think it turns out that the message *is*
actually sent, but the message stays in the outbox. Any ideas?

Hmm. Maybe it's time to run Office Diagnostics or repair the Office
installation? There could be something wrong with your setup. Or, it is
RC2 and you can't do much about it...
Also another problem is that I keep getting a pop-up telling me that the

Yes and no. You need to resolve the cert issue, then the dialog goes
away. When you see the dialog, click View Certificate and see what the
problem is.

I ran the Diag but nothing detected.
I did a re-install but I've had the same problem again. But this time I
think I know whats causing it.

Sometimes when I send an email through my work's email servers the email
gets stuck in the Outbox (don't know why but this happened in OL2003
sometimes as well). The message does get sent but in Outlook it stays in the
Outbox. When that happens thats when the Outlook notification area Icon
starts flickering between the Outlook logo and the Send/Receive icon. As
soon as I'm able to wrestle with Outlook and either Delete the email in the
Outbox or move it to the Sent Items folder the constant disk access stops and
Outlook becomes responsive again.

Also about that other issue, is there any way to save a cert?

Interesting. Can you activate logging and send me via email log files of
one of those situations (preferably just capturing the moment it
happens)?

Not that I know of. You have to take a look and see what the problem is.
If it's expired, then you need to contact your server people and tell
them to renew it. If it's just a lack of trust, then you need to get the
certificate that signed it and install that on your computer. I'd say
you'll have to talk with your server people about this.
