Search in XP isn't finding things

I have 4 PC's all set up the same with Windows XP and SP3 for Office. I do a
search 'all files & folders' - 'a word or phrase in the file:'..... 3 of the
PC's will find the files everytime but the 4th PC never finds anything. I've
checkde all the settings, options everything adn they are all set up exactly
the same.

Anyone got any ideas?
 
The find feature will only search files with an extension that has an
'association' setup in the Folder Options/File Types.
 
I'm trying to find text within excel files (.xls). The association has been
set up the same on all PC's.
 
Then it would probably be a Permissions problem, something like the person's
My Documents folders set to 'private', or some other change, like disabled
"Simple File Sharing" (a Pro edition feature)

Adding the problem files to the "Everyone" and/or "Guest" group would fix it
in most cases.
