Search highlighting

I need this turned on. When I go to search options, it will not let me turn
on highlighting. Why would that be? How can I change it? Thanks
 
Outlook 2007 I assume?
What do you mean with "will not let me"?
Does it turn itself off again or is it grayed out?
In case of Windows XP; did you already install Windows Desktop Search?
