I want to have a Search Folder in Outlook 2003 that will display mail not
from my company's domain, idahopower.com. I have tried selecting the From
field on the Advanced tab, then selecting 'doesn't contain', and entering
@idahopower.com. This doesn't work, and I think it's because Outlook hides
all email addresses from me. This is very frustrating, because if I look at
the mail headers for one of these messages, I can see @idahopower.com in the
From field, however they still show up in my Search Folder.

I know you can do this kind of thing in a Rule, but I need to do it with a
Search Folder.

Thanks.

Well, I think the From is looking at the friendly name. All of my company's
From friendly names are of the form "Lastname, Firstname (LOCATION)". Most
of the location strings start with "(A". I just created a search folder
with "From doesn't contain (A" and all my external mail appeared in the
search folder.

Unfortunately, my company doesn't do that. It's just "Lastname, Firstname".
So it appears it's not possible to do this with Outlook...sad.
