My company is wanting to move from an old accounting
program to access to hold its inventory and customer
information. One problem we have encountered is that
access seems to have a weak database search feature. We
use an old DOS program called Friendly Finder to search
our databases in our old accounting program. Friendly
Finder can find just about anything, even if you mispell
the word, it give reasonable suggestions. Can Access do
that? I hope someone out there can help.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,

You could create your own Soundex search form that uses a
customised form and a combination of DAO and Soundex to
search and find the record you are looking for. This is my
best answer. It is possible to design this, but it would
take time. For the return? Only you could ay that.
