Yesterday my computer started downloading some things on
its own. One of them skin something. Now I have a task
bar that shows up with I explorer at the bottom there are
selections for casino, sex, all kinds of things. I have
been unable to get this out no matter how I try. Norton
does not detect anything. My computer is running very
slow. I had my firewall down for just a short time and
don't know if someone got in at that time. How do I fix
this? Any help would be appreciated. I have all my MSN
and Norton updates.

I see that you have enough advise on how to remove this
so I won't go there.What happened is called "a drive by
active X download".In internet options click on the
security tab and then custom level you will see that all
of your active x settings are set at "enable", this is
not a good thing.Except for "marked as safe and those
marked with authenticode" reset these to "prompt" this
way before something is downloaded you will get a popup
asking you if you want to download it or not.It is ok to
leave "run active x controls and plugins" at enable.
Just change the settings for "not marked as safe" and
those "not marked with authenticode".
