Yesterday my computer started downloading some things on its own. One of them skin something. Now I have a task bar that shows up with I explorer at the bottom there are selections for casino, sex, all kinds of things. I have been unable to get this out no matter how I try. Norton does not detect anything. My computer is running very slow. I had my firewall down for just a short time and don't know if someone got in at that time. How do I fix this? Any help would be appreciated. I have all my MSN and Norton updates.

Hi Mary,
I see that you have enough advise on how to remove this
so I won't go there. What happened is called "a drive by
active X download".In internet options click on the
security tab and then custom level you will see that all
of your active x settings are set at "enable", this is
not a good thing.Except for "marked as safe and those
marked with authenticode" reset these to "prompt" this
way before something is downloaded you will get a popup
asking you if you want to download it or not.It is ok to
leave "run active x controls and plugins" at enable.
Just change the settings for "not marked as safe" and
those "not marked with authenticode".
Once you get to this page in internet options it will be
clearer,Good luck.
