I have a problem with searching files or folders.
The search companion doesn`t find anything and just says:
"To start your search. follow the instructions in the left
pane.", and a blank little window without no text and with
a exclamation mark on it. But at the same time the left
pane says that it is searching for the requested files.
I don`t understand what`s wrong, it doesn`t function at
all.
Can somebody give me an advice concerning my problem.
Thank You!

If the window with the exclamation point on it looks like the one on this
page:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_fix_search_error.htm

There is a link to a VBS file on that same page that will fix this problem
with XP's search.

Type "Regsvr32 /i shell32" in the RUN box.
