How do I search my code (with code) to find particular text - I can do it by
using the modules (but this only searches open modules) what I need is to
search all code behind forms, reports and modules.

You would need a Find/Replace utility. There are several out there. I use
SpeedFerret (http://www.moshannon.com/speedferret.html) but there are
several others. Find and Replace is often referred to as a good utility;
check Tony Toews site (http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/thirdparty.htm) for
links to several.

Also, mztools (www.mztools.com) is a free addin that includes a Search
utility which may suit your needs.

ms-access can search all code, forms, reports and modules for you..and they
don't have to be open.

(I am not sure why other posters are suggesting other wise).

When you are in code, simply go

ctrl-f

In the list of options to search, just check "current project" All code in
all forms, and all reports, and all modules will be search for...

You don't need any 3rd party tools here at all...
