On a computer running Windows XP Home Edition, my
Internet Explorer has somehow aquired dropdown lists on
search engines like Google and Yahoo's keyword entry
textbox fields.
These dropdown lists don't appear if you click right in
the field, only if you click on the edge of it, and are
populated by recent search criteria.
I have tried to figure out where they came from, and,
more importantly, how to get rid of them!
Spybot S&D doesn't show any malware as being installed
and there are no strange toolbars in the browser whose
installation may account for the dropdown lists.
Any insight?
Thanks,
BJM
