search bar wont clear

Hey does anybody know how to make it so you cant see what
was typed previously under the search bar area on search
websites. (on yahoo when i type something in the searchbar
old things that i searched for come up. How can I clear
this?
 
It's known as Auto Complete, look up you Help file.
