Search bar in my toolbar

I cannot keep the search bar from appearing in my toolbar
in IE 6.0. I try right clicking on the toolbar and
unchecking "Search," but then the next time I open an IE
window, that darned search bar is back again. How can I
get rid of it permanently?

What's the name of the Search bar? Does it identify itself?

Sounds like spyware. Use:

SpyBot
Ad-Aware
SpywareBlaster
SpywareGuard

All are free.
