tried using it to find a music file it was very very slow although it got
there eventually had a look at the online help it mentioned indexing which is
system volume i believe although i have indexing enabled there is no system
volume folder on the drive is this why it is so slow can you help to speed up
the searches

a) either you have 'System Restore' disabled
and/or
b) In Windows Explorer > Tools > Folder Options > View, you have 'Do not
show hidden files & folders' selected. You need to 'Show' hidden files &
folders.

Not sure if they're related to the slow indexing. I was always under the
impression 'Indexing' always slowed your computer down. It's one of the
first things I disable, but that's just me.
