seagate barracuda 129GB hard drive

Hello

I would appreciate advice on which seagate to get. There seems to be
several versions of the 120GB 7200rpm around. It is to go with a abit
av8 3rd eye motherboard & athlon 64 3200 winchester chip.

If you are going to skip RAID 0 buy a Maxtor Diamond Max 9.

Has Maxtor solved the overheating problems with their drives yet?
(I'm seeing alot of these drives burn up around the 12 month mark.
I've put a fan on mine and am keeping my fingers crossed.)
