This this
File name C:\WINNT\system32\svchost.exe

The same file as Generic Host Process for Win32 Services?

Also Went to Windows Update, and fonts on Microsofts pages are all
disoriented. Is there a virus or worm messing things up again?

You need to provide us with more info about your configuration
e.g. networked or single user / business or home use / anti-virus
software / router and/or firewall / Service Packs / anything else?
e.g. if you browse with Admin permissions, you're asking for
trouble.

Personally, I don't use 'Windows Update' at all - I'll just wait for
the next Service Pack, while I tweak my firewall and run daily
exhaustive tests with up-to-date anti-virus software.

I'm a single user, and use NAV 2003 which is up to date and use Ad-aware
6.0, have Zone Alarm free version 5.x
OS is Win 2000 Pro SP4 with all udates installed. Not sure what you mean by
browsing with administrative privledges. I'm the sole user so I guess I do.
What should I do? any suggestions ?

Just use the Admin account while you're offline,
and make yourself another e.g. PowerUser
account for all online work. Using Admin
just set the minimum permissions you need
for browsing and email, e.g. "Read & Execute"
+ "List Folder Contents" + "Read" for this
(online use only) user account. If you browse
as Admin and you are hacked, the hacker can
assume your Admin permissions and do untold
damage to your system - it happened to me.
