Hello,

Why does my SCSI controller prevent Windows XP Pro from going into
hibernation? I have a Domex 3191 card which came with my old DVD-RAM drive
and believe have the latest version (though I don't think it has been
updated for a while anyway).

Kolin,

It may be that the SCSI BIOS is preventing the computer to get in to the
hibernation mode. In order to resolve this issue, I would suggest you to
update the firmware of the SCSI card and check if the problem persists.

Meanwhile, I would also suggest you to contact your computer hardware
manufacturer for an update BIOS. After updating the system BIOS and SCSI
BIOS, please check if the problem persists.

Also, if the primary hard drive on your computer is not a SCSI hard drive,
I would suggest you to unplug the SCSI card and check if the computer gets
into the hibernation mode without the SCSI Card.
