On a computer that has an Adaptec AVA-1502E ISA SCSI
controller and an Iomega SCSI Zip drive installed, there
may be no driver listed for the Adaptec controller after
you upgrade to Windows XP. As a result, the controller
does not work, and you may not be able to use the Zip
drive.

This issue can occur after you upgrade the computer from
Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows 98 Second
Edition, or Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me).

I try to follow the following to resolve the problem
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=307043

It works the first time. But next day when I
turned on my PC, it has some problem. Could any one
tell me what to do?

XP would prefer a PCI type SCSI card. I am amazed that an ISA type card
will even work some of the time.
