Scrolling through names in address book

I have some users who are able to scroll through names in
their address book and select the name they want to send
email to. I have other users who cannot scroll. This
happens in the address book as well as when composing new
message and clicking TO: and selecting names in the
address book. I have added office and outlook to the
scroll in the control panel mouse function, but does not
solve the problem. Can anyone provide some insight to
this unusual problem?

What happens when they try to scroll?
What version of Outlook?
What updates have been applied?
What changes to your setup preceded this problem?

They are unable to scroll at all.
Outlook 2000 with SR1
No changes to setup that we can determine.

Meaning what? The program crashes? The screen freezes?
Can they select names from the Address Book by typing them to the "Select
Name" box?
Did these users' Address Books ever work?

If you type a name in the select list, it will take you to
the name, but if you want to scroll down the list, the
scroll wheel doesn't work. You have to use the slide bar
on the side of the select names window. I am fairly
certain that at one time I could scroll through the list
and then select the name I wanted to send email to.

Aha. The scroll bar works but the wheel mouse doesn't?
Not likely an Outlook issue, then.
Have you updated your drivers lately?

If it were a driver issue, the wheel would not scroll in
any application. Correct? We uninstalled and reinstalled
the intellipoint mouse drivers and that did not solve the
problem. The same driver is installed on a PC where it
works and one where it doesn't. Could it be a registry
problem?
