An annoying issue rather than a critical issue, but after
installing a major set of security updates in the summer
I have had a problem with the Vertical Scroll Bar in
Internet Explorer.

The symptom: A single left click in the scroll bar below
the slider would normally adfvance the screen by about
90% in the same way that pressing the Page Down Button.
Recently Explorer seems to move forward 2 pages or more??

Any Ideas?

Hi Peter - Your problem is a known "feature" of the
latest round of security updates. Presumably it'll be
fixed in the next round.

This is a known bug introduced by critical update 824145.
You can click immediately under the slider or drag the slider.
You can use Page Down.

The latest revision of this hotfix doesn't address the scroll bar issue either
Revisions:
V1.0 November 11, 2003: Bulletin published.
V1.1 November 12, 2003: Updated severity rating URL in Technical Details and added clarification text in Tested Versions.
V1.2 December 11, 2003: Updated the Windows 2003 Install switches in the Security Update Information section.
