scrolling preview pane

is there a way to make the mouse wheel work in the message preview area
instead of having to open email? I have tried tweakui x mouse but it does
not help. this is outlook2003. I think 2002 worked this way?
 
it is Logitech but I no longer have office 97 installed. I have a few
components from it (excel and powerpoint) is there anything there that can
be altered?
I will verify latest drivers but I think I am up to date.
Thanks much, its not a huge problem but is somewhat annoying.

it was driver issue. ones released last week fixed the problem, sorry to
have bothered you.
