Scrolling in leaps and bounds

I'm running Windows NT with IE 6.0. Recently, I am unable
to scroll smoothly in the browser from one visible page
portion to the next. Instead, the browser jumps over the
next part of a page and displays a portion further on.
Typically this happens when I click in the scrollbar.
Today, however, (on the Microsoft website), it's happening
when I click the scrollbar arrow buttons, as well.

I turned Smooth Scrolling off to see if that would help.
It didn't change anything. I turned it back on--still no
change.

I am having the same problem. When i click on the vertical
scroll bar it will scroll two pages instead of one. I am
working on the problem for a cure, I will let you know. I
f you get an answer, let me know. Thanks

OK it is a flaw in the latest security patch #842145.
Microsoft knows about but does not know when a fix is
coming. You could de-install the patch but there are some
useful things for security in it.(I wouldn't un-install)

Try just grabbing the scroll bar and moving or using your
arrow keys

Daryl, thanks for doing the research. I noticed today that
a few other people are reporting the same problem since
our posts yesterday.
