scrollbar on touchpad does not work

Folks,
I bought a HP ze4530us notebook recently. It has Windows
XP (Home edition) installed on it. The scroll bar feature
on the touchpad doesn't work. Is there a configuration
change involved to set this right ?

Usually there is a separate icon in the Control Panel for touchpads. The
ones I've used include settings for enabling/disabling scrolling with the
touchpad and for designating which area of the touchpad will be used for
scrolling. If you are not finding an icon for the touchpad easily in the
blue control panel window, click on "Classic View" in the upper left hand
corner.
