I am in the process of transferring text from numerous fields in one
document to another document. If all of the text in a filed is selected then
it is copied and pasted as a field not as regular text. If I select
everything except the first or last character it copies & pastes as text.
My problem is that Word (2002) scrolls by so fast that I am having a
difficult time stopping before the last letter in the filed is selected.
Is there any way to slow down the scroll speed?

Click at one end of the desired selection, then drag the slider on the
vertical scroll bar to bring the other end in view, and Shift+click there.

Why can't Word be fixed so that it doesn't scroll so fast when you move the mouse to the bottom or the top of the screen? This is a very annoying problem
