I want to change the name of the Exchange server on all clients that are
configured with Outlook.

Can someone help me write a script to specify the name of the Exchange
Server in Outlook.

My I ask the purpose of such a script? (The reason that I ask is if you
bring on a new exchange server, move a mailbox to it, and the older server
is still up when the user starts Outlook, Outlook will automatically
redirect w/ no intervention.)

We are migrating from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. The old server will not be up &
running.

Thanks,
Shijaz

Best bet for the Outlook 2003 client would be to use the Custom Install
Wizard to overwrite the existing profile. Is the site going with Outlook
2003 or earlier?

The clients are all using Outlook 97 and some of them are using newer
versions. There are about 300 clients, we want a login script to do the job
rather than physically going to each PC.

I am looking for a .vbs (windows script) file that will do the job on any
machine that executes it.
