Script takes over PC

I'm using Windows XP with all critical patches/updates installed. While I
was using IE6, some mysterious script seemed to take control of my PC. The
mouse pointer went to START, opened some windows & clicked on some buttons
here & there (without any input from me!). It happened too quick for me to
notice what exactly it was doing. This has happened twice so far, & each
time I hit the PC's reset button. Is this a virus or a worm?

I've got Norton Antivirus 2003 (virus pattern automatically updated). I also
did an online virus scan with Trend Micro's housecall. No viruses were
found. I've also got Ad-Aware.

What's happening to my PC. If it happens again, should I panic & reboot the
pc immediately, or should I let the script complete?

Please help!
