Script error

My ie is corrupted looks like.
It is giving me script errors for no reason.
For example, when I go to www.microsoft.com/windows/ie
I get a script error on line1. Tried to repair but the errors still
continues. Is there any way to just replace the script engine?
I am using XP (SP2)
Appreciate any great soul's help
