I was given a computer by one of my children. There is a number of screen
savers listed in the display file. Is there a way to delete the savers that I
don't want from the list ?

Go into search and type *.scr and the screen savers will come up. Just
delete from there.

It is a good ideal, when getting a computer from someone else, to do a clean
install of the operating system and all applications. That way you don't
"inherit" any of the system problems and other nasties. For example,
malware can sometimes come along when someone downloads the cute little
screen savers.

Hi
What is the symbol in front of scr and how do I get it.
TIA

It's a star, *, shift 8, and a period. Not sure what you mean by "how do I
get it".

Thanks for the reply and the answer.
I get it by pressing shift 8.
