My computer won't go into a screensaver. How can I fix this?

As you didn’t describe your machine, OS, wireless keyboard and mouse or not,
whether the problem happened recently, ANY changes on your computer from the
time it was working to the time it wasn't working, is it a thirdparty
screensaver etc, is it kind of hard to give any precise advice on your
problem.

Since the last two years have a lot of problems regarding screensavers been
reported – and resolved in the various newsgroups. The nature of problems has
been change / installation of (new) software/hardware, scheduled tasks, with
most of them originating from replacement of keyboard and mouse to wireless
versions. Other problems reported are related to DVD programs, screensaver
not working on XP Media Center Edition (MCE), password protected screensave
and startup programs using EHTRAY.

Assuming you have checked settings in the ScreenSaver tab in Display
Properties, I’ll for now just leave a list of articles which may be helpful
to resolve your problem:
