I put a checkmark where it says "On resume, password protect". but when the
screensaver comes on and goes off again after I move the mouse it won't ask
me for a password.
I was able to do this very easily in Win 98.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

More info needed. Is the screen saver secure, is this a home system, what
other screen saver restrictions, etc are or have been set?

I think it would be best if I'd tell you what I'm trying to accomplish.
I want the password to pop up after releasing my computer the screensaver
because I don't like the idea of people viewing the stuff I'm working on
while I'm away.
I have the screensaver set on one minute so it'll come on relatively fast if
I have to leave for a while.

Thanks.

You have to set one first. Right click the Desktop/Properties/Screen Saver.
Check the box that reads: On resume, display the Welcome Screen.

Without having to wait that additional minute, hit the Windows key + L.
