I have a MAC innovision screen. It is a 17" black. When I play The Sims 2 it
will stop & go black after a while of playing. The message it gives is"Mode
not supported" H:23.1KZ V:36.8HZ. Can any one tell me what that means & why
the game goes black& my screen freezes.

It would usually indicate that you have set a refresh rate which is higher
than the monitor can handle.

How do I set the refreah rate? Where do I fnd it? Sorry, just don't know how.
Thanks Puppytina

Right Click on the Desktop of windows. Then Click on the
Setting Tab. Click on Advanced button. The refresh rate is
part of Graphics Card Properties, Usually presented as a
single figure (eg 60hz, 65hz). Choose Custom and Determine
automatically (i believe). Then apply and refresh (ok).
On the monitor you'll need to access its setup menu and
adjust the refresh rates in its basic setup screen. Follow
the menus.
