I'm NEW to this!! A friend set up my system for me. I'm
using Windows XP home. Question 1: Can I have both DSL
and use my computer as a fax machine on the same phone
line? Question 2: After adding a new monitor with
higher resolution, when I try to install PLUS! screen
saver SPACE, now the message says I need a 16 bit video
card. Supposedly, a new video card was installed. How
can I tell? Thanks in advance for your patience and
help. Suzie

Unlike most dial-up modems, a DSL modem is not capable
of connecting to fax machines, so you cannot send or receive faxes directly.

Consider purchasing a regular fax machine and connect it to your phone line.

Some Fax alternatives to consider:

eFax: http://home.efax.com/s/r/eFaxHomepage

jFax: http://www.j2.com/jfax.asp

Run the Plus! advisor:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/Plus/windowsxp/sys_verify.htm#SETTOOL

Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
System Information > Components > Display and
look for "Adapter RAM" in the right-hand pane.
