screen saver freezing

After the screen saver has run for several minutes, it
stops (freezes) and I can't get the original screen to
come back up, I end up having to reboot it. I have my
computer set for automatic standby so I don't know if
this has anything to do with the screen saver problem.
And help would be appreciated.

Sewe if you can find more information in the Control Panel >
Administrative Tools > Event Viewer. Also eliminate the applications
that run in the background step by step to try to find out what
actually causes this.
