Screen Saver doesn't work

¡¤ XPe version used when bug occurred (Gold, SP1, SP2): SP1, SP2

¡¤ MUI language pack used (n/a, English, Japanese, etc.): Korean

¡¤ Brief bug description: The Screen Saver dones't work.

Previewing screen saver is working fine.

But after setting the time, it's not starting.

¡¤ Detailed bug description (Please be as detailed as possible and list hardware or software required to reproduce the bug.):

- general X86 System (ip based STB)

- minlgon

- cmd shell

- including InternetExplorer, MediaPlayer, DirectX

¡¤ Steps to reproduce the bug (If applicable, please list the exact steps to reproduce the issue and be as detailed as possible):

A. Open "desk.cpl" ¡æ "Screen Saver" ¡æ Setting the time

B. Wait the time

C. Screen Saver never starts



I found one topic similar to this issue from google :

I checked the registries following upper URL stories.

But thoes registries are existed with correct data.

Else upper information,Which part should I check?

The standard Windows screensaver app (that is specified with the SCRNSAVE.EXE reg.value) is launched by the Desktop.
I think you will need Winlogon and Shell32 in your image in order to get the screensaver started by timeout.

For the sake of knowing the source of the issue, you may want to switch to Winlogon and then (if does not help) switch to Explorer
Shell.

In any case, you can easy write your own simple agent app (or a service) that will start the screensaver by a specified timeout.
