screen queery

hi all.

after installing xppro, then sp2 my xp "black screen" no longer
says microsoft xp professional, any idea why it does this, and how i can
get it back.

It's a standard deal with SP2. You can't get it back. MS was cheap with
SP2.

That is as designed in the SP2 update. It does not show that info any
more, and no way to change it other than by going back to SP1. Besides
what difference does it make? It shows for but few seconds on boot up.
 
Because XP SP2 has removed it. Also, the year has been removed.

Your default screen saver (XP) will still have this info though.
