In trying to enlarge print to accommodate my aging eyesight I have managed
to ' lose ' the left hand part of my programmes screens - word, solitaire
etc( e.g. the file in the tool bar of word is off screen as is the left hand
card column in solitaire etc ). I also have nice large type in text portion
of emails but only miniscule print in the address box. I have tried to
recover but without success.

Wd someone held a silly old septuagenarian?

TIA.

Hi Mark

Tried this but without success. I have
' lost ' the left hand side of my screens - I can only ' see ' the right
hand edge of the start button in the bottom left of the screen and in Word
the' file ' command in the upper left is also off screen, in full screen in
this message I have lost ' M ' from your bane. Any suggestion?

TIA

PeteP

I can't guess what you have done, and if you
have lost control of your system, the only
real
alternative is to start over, using whatever
recovery options are available with your
system.

If you can change resolution, or font
to fix it,
you should try that first. Rightclick the
desk, Properties,
settings tab, move slider right to increase
resolution.
(the Font of the Windows features is on
Appearance tab )

There are also physical controls on the side or
back
of the monitor, that may need adjusting to
bring the
content into view.

DPI changes are in that last link to the help
I sent you

Problem solved. There was another gremlin involved and she - nine years
old, blond and blue eyes - visited her Grandfather again on Sunday.

She plays on my computer and, on her previous visit, fascinated by my new
LCD monitor, she had 'adjusted' the press buttons. I had not touched them
and I blamed myself for what was going wrong as I had been adjusting the
display.

All's well that ends well.

I am only sorry others got involved.
