I am having problems with my screen. I switch the computer on and the loading screen comes on. It then goes onto the windows XP Home screen with the moving bar at the bottom. Then the screen goes blank and windows loads but the screen remains blank. I have tried to load in safe mode but it just ignores this and loads normally. I know windows has loaded as the start up music plays.
Any help will be greatfully appreciated.

Thanks

What virus software do you use...?

Sounds as if the refresh rate is set too high for your
current monitor, hence it is going into standby but the
computer is working. All that you need to do is change the
refresh rate, preferably by plugging in another monitor -
with better refresh rate. Otherwise go into safe mode and
remove driver for graphics card.

Think you'll find this is the fault and quite common.

Thanks,

Mark
