Screen got extremely bright

Hey...I think I might have accidentally shortcutted my screen to be extremely
bright. Anyone know a fix?
I've tried reboot, shutdown/reboot, even system restore with no luck. I go
to display properties and the color is set to 32 (hi-bit), but the spectrum
isn't even as it should be.
 
I'll clarify...laptop computer, adjusted brightness, still no solution.
Starting the computer in safe mode causes screen to be back to normal, but in
regular mode still bright...

See if your video driver has settings for brightness, contrast, and
gamma.
