press F8 and go to save mode and look for any Errors in the Event viewer and
send them here.

Thanks for the reply.

No I haven't added anything to the computer, hardware or software, I ran
registry clean before I turned the computer off. When I rebooted, is when I
was at the blank screen. I've been using registry over a year or so and it
never done this before. Anyway I have a USB keyboard I didn't know at the
time that it didn't power up until windows was booted I bought a standard
keyboard and was able to get into safe mode. First I restored what registry
cleaner removed, rebooted went back into safe mode and tried the restore
points. After the computer rebooted and went past the winxp logo screen I
got a prompt saying my computer could not be restored. I checked my settings
and restore points wasn't checked so it was on but didn't make any, why?

Ok, I powered down let it sit and used my setup disks to reinstall
everything when it asked for the windowsxp cd I put that in hit enter and
let it go, after it reformatted I see a prompt saying.

Windows xp home edition setup

The following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupted or missing;
Value 0 on the line in section [SourceDisksFiles] with key "SP1.cab"

Setup cannot continue. To quit Setup, press F3.

What do I do now? did I really mess this up... I appreciate
the help......Thanks
