I would like to capture a screen image from one application such as acess2000
or excel2000 and post as a picture in powerpoint ... How? Help?

You could try capturing the screen you want by hitting the "Prnt Scrn" button
which will then allow you to save the image as a jpeg by opening the saved
file in Photoshop. You can then crop the photo as needed and then import that
..jpeg into Powerpoint.

You can use Prnt Scrn to copy the full screen to the clipboard and then paste it
into PowerPoint. However, my favorite tool of all time is SnagIt which allows
you to capture any portion of a screen and then if you like you can edit and
enhance it. Finally, you can save it to GIF, JPG, or PNG (best IMHO) and insert
it as a picture in PowerPoint. You can find SnagIt at
http://www.techsmith.com/. There are other tools such as HyperCam that do much
the same thing.

The easiest thing to do is to view the screen you want, hold down the Alt
key and hit the Print Screen button. Now, go into PowerPoint and get to
the slide you want. Go to the Edit menu and choose Paste.

For better results, you can paste the image into image editing software,
such as Adobe Photoshop, save the image as JPG image, and insert it into
PowerPoint.

Alternatively, you could link to the file you want so that you don't just
have an image, but you have complete functionality.
