Scratchy Audio, obvious solutions failed

At first I thought my speakers were blown, So I bought new ones, and still
had scratchy sound. Then I updated my drivers, then I rolled them pack, then
I tried a different version, then I uninstalled/re-installed all media
drivers. Then I disabled all support hardware I could. There are no
conflicts. My soundcard is an intergrated soundmax on a P4s8X-X motherboard
with the newest avaible divers. The problem is that most music played on my
system sounds scratchy, almost like an old record player. I even turned the
system volume down, and the sound output to my speakers, I tweaked the
acceleration, abd emmulation settings, and even ran directxdiag, and frankly
my friends, I am out of ideas. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with audio I have stored on my hard drives. Although
what is strange is it doesn't start till wmp9 has been playing for an hour
or so. I then have to stop and restart playing and it is fine again for an
hour or so. It has me baffled!

The only electronic device that could cause interference is the sub-woofer,
and it four ft from the nearest speaker, and three ft from my tower

Memory - 512ddr

The link didn't help.

Thanks for the attempt, any other ideas?
